HTC Holiday revealed via leak

An upcoming HTC handset codenamed the Holiday has been discovered via a leaked ROM file, indicating that the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer has some big plans for its launch line up later in the year.
The HTC Sensation has already been turning heads thanks to its promise of a 4.3 inch display and 1.2 GHz processor and the Holiday will borrow the CPU but, allegedly, increase the screen size to 4.5 inches, an inch larger than that of the iPhone 4.
Not only will the HTC Holiday have a bigger screen but it will also have a higher resolution than its predecessors, equal to 960x540 according to Phone Arena.
1GB of RAM and an eight megapixel camera are thrown in alongside these other components, while a front-facing 1.3 megapixel snapper will be present for video calling.
Observers anticipate that the HTC Holiday will feature the very latest edition of Android and it will presumably sport the bespoke Sense interface layered on top to make it stand out.
Of course HTC is not the first firm to start work on a mobile with a 4.5 inch display as Samsung has already said that a handset destined for the US market will feature such a screen in the coming months.
The Dell Streak has a five inch screen and as mobiles get larger displays it looks like the gap between phone and tablet could be squeezed to the point of negligibility.
The HTC Holiday is likely to sport LTE connectivity which means American consumers will be targeted first and those in the UK will have to wait for this feature to be stripped out before it can be sold here. Of course if network providers get the next-gen LTE networks up and running on our shores, then it might make the transition intact.
