HTC handsets revealed in leaked images

A pair of high end HTC smartphones known as the Rider and Kingdom have been spotted online in snaps which reveal a few blurry details about the handsets.
The HTC Rider is set to be an Android-based mobile, as it has the typical quartet of interactive buttons arrayed below the display, although it seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer has ditched capacitive keys in favour of traditional physical alternatives.
It is thought that the Rider could be the UK-friendly edition of the HTC Evo 3D, a stereoscopic smartphone which is arriving in the US later in the year.
The Rider stands out from the crowd thanks to its red bezel, which is clearly on show in the pictures acquired by Recombu.
The HTC Kingdom is also going to be based on Android and will presumably run the latest 2.3 edition of Google's smartphone platform. While the Rider has a red surround, the Kingdom is sporting a classier silver border to its front face and it too seems to be in possession of a large touchscreen display.
Careful analysis of the photo of the Kingdom suggests that it will have a forward-facing camera for video calling, but the low quality of the images makes it difficult to learn anything truly revelatory about either of the phones.
After several months of inactivity, with only reboots of previous successes like the Desire and Wildfire revealed, HTC is finally getting into the swing of building brand new smartphones for the competitive market in 2011.
Whether these two mobiles will retain their respectively chivalric and regal nametags remains to be seen, but it is easy to get excited about the prospect of their release, particularly if they are going to be packed with new technology to put prior release to shame.
