Marketing push by Mazuma Mobile

Mobile phone recycling firm, Mazuma, is attempting to capture even more of the market this year and it's looking to increase its share from the current 30 per cent stake to at least 40 per cent.
This ambitious move is to be driven by an advertising campaign which will cost several million pounds over the course of 2012.
The way in which Mazuma hopes to achieve this is not only through winning over new customers, but also by getting its previous users to return and harness its mobile phone recycling services once more.
Since many people in the UK have more than one mobile phone to recycle and the typical upgrade cycle means that consumers will need to pass on an old handset at least once every two years, there is plenty of scope for companies like Mazuma to attract former customers back again and again.
Mazuma's dinky red mascot Maz will be bearing a lot of the responsibility for the four million pound campaign promoting the company. Given the success of other online mascots in recent years, there is certainly scope for another consumer hit in this area.
Mazuma's Charlo Carabott explained that the firm's market share had hovered around 30 per cent for the past few years. However, he said that its new efforts would hopefully secure it another ten per cent of the market by 2013.
Promotion will not be the only thing which Mazuma uses to secure returning custom, as it will also focus on getting payments for old mobile phones made quickly.
Of course the good news for consumers is that a more competitive mobile recycling market makes it even easier to get a good price for your used handset, as long as you compare the offers available before you commit.
