Mobile Recycling Coming to Three Stores

Network provider Three will be the latest of the UK’s major network providers to offer customers the opportunity to recycle their old smartphones at its high street outlets, following the announcement of a partnership it has forged with Redeem.
People will be able to part ways with their unwanted handsets and get payment in return, which can then be used to help them cut the cost of acquiring a new device, according to REB.
A total of 345 of the bricks-and-mortar outlets operated by Three across the UK will be running the new recycling scheme, starting this month. The network provider is attempting to join the ranks of rivals such as O2 by encouraging customers to dispose of old phones responsibly once the time to upgrade arrives.
Redeem spokesperson Mark Chambers said that his firm was happy to be helping out yet another network provider in delivering comprehensive recycling services that can also benefit customers.
Of course, it is worth pointing out that even if your network provider does have a recycling service available, you may not necessarily get the best price for your old device if you simply accept the offer that it makes.
The best alternative is to compare different prices from the UK’s top mobile recycling companies online and work out which will be the best for your specific handset. And with many models still being worth several hundred pounds, it is a good idea to take a look at what is available.
Meanwhile, with Three and its contemporaries making more efforts to promote the benefits of recycling and incentivising this activity through payment schemes, people across the UK should have little reason to ignore the calls to sell their old phones rather than letting them sit at home losing value.
