New iPhone announcement makes mobile phone recycling attractive

Now is a good time to sell an old iPhone online to a recycling company, because Apple has finally pulled back the curtains on its latest handset which is aimed at the more affordable end of the market.
The iPhone SE was announced last week and ushers in a new era of mid-range Apple devices, replacing the iPhone 5S as the model that cost-conscious buyers can choose.
While it may be the spiritual successor to the iPhone 5C, the SE is not as youth-oriented and lacks the plastic exterior and bright colour pallet of Apple’s original budget handset. Instead, it has the metal and glass body that fans of the iPhone 5S will recognise, along with the same four inch screen size.
The familiar styling is something of a facade since beneath the surface, the iPhone SE is thoroughly modern, offering the A9 processor and NFC capabilities found on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
This means it is compatible with Apple Pay, while also boasting a 12 megapixel iSight camera on the rear for impressive still image capturing and video recording.
The basic iPhone SE will sell for around £350 in the UK, coming with 16GB of storage space. On contract, it is being offered by some networks for as little as £25 a month with no upfront cost to bear, which is impressive given Apple’s track record.
You can take the sting out of buying a new iPhone SE, or indeed any model that appeals, by selling your old phone and sending it off to a recycling company in exchange for cash. The iPhone 5S and 5C are both getting long in the tooth and so if you want an upgrade that will not break the bank, the SE could be ideal.
