New low price point for HTC Evo 3D

Last year, when the HTC Evo 3D launched in the UK, you would have had to spend more than £500 in order to get your hands on it, but a recent price drop by supermarket chain, Asda, has more than halved the cost of this high end handset.
The Evo 3D can now be purchased for just £207 from the retailer, which is quite a steal when you consider the specifications of this beast.
The first noteworthy feature is the dual core processor, which is clocked at 1.2GHz, equivalent to the chips found onboard the HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Nexus.
To back up this powerful processor you get 1GB of RAM and a 4.3 inch touchscreen display. The screen is also able to deliver autostereoscopic effects, which mean you can enjoy the 3D interface and compatible content playback without the need for glasses.
There are more 3D features on board, including a twin pair of five megapixel cameras mounted on the rear, which allow you to record 3D video footage and shoot 3D still images.
On its own merits, the HTC Evo 3D is a solid Android smartphone which should be getting updated to version 4.0 of Google's operating system at some point this year.
If you simply have to own a 3D-read phone, then you will either have to pick this model or the LG Optimus 3D, with both handsets offering largely similar specifications.
The faster processor inside HTC's option could make it a fan favourite and although it did not receive the best review scores upon its original launch, its new low price point paints it in a much fairer light. Now word of this reduced cost has got out, you may not have much time to sell your old mobile phone and invest in the Evo 3D, so acting quickly is advised.
