Nokia 800 spotted

Nokia's first Windows Phone mobile, the 800, could be just a few weeks from launch after posters showcasing this high-end handset were published online.
The Nokia 800 will be one of the Finnish firm's first mobiles to use its new numeric naming system that aims to simplify the process of choosing a new handset.
It will also run Windows Phone 7.5, otherwise known as Mango. Sadly, it will not be the first handset to launch in the UK with the Mango update onboard because this honour has already been taken by the HTC Titan.
The good news is that the posters, acquired by PocketNow, suggest that Nokia could be getting the 800 out in the public domain before the end of the year.
Most had expected that the first Nokia Windows Phone mobiles would be making their way to market at some point in early 2012, but if the manufacturer is able to speed up the process, it will be better placed to capitalise on the busy run-up to Christmas.
The Nokia 800 will feature an eight-megapixel camera, AMOLED screen and a range of colourful designs, which help it to fit in with the various hues available via the Windows Phone user interface.
Nokia had been calling its Windows Phone handsets by various names during the development process, including the Sea Ray and Ace, but it seems to be shelving these exciting but vague names in favour of a more functional number-based system.
Nokia will be competing with Samsung and HTC when it comes to creating smartphones based on Microsoft's updated software and, of course, the original crop of phones is also getting the update.
It has been almost a year since Windows Phone re-launched in its seventh iteration so if your contract is coming to an end you might want to sell your old phone and invest in Nokia's latest model.
