Nokia Lumia 625 to launch this month

Nokia is set to start selling the Lumia 625 in the UK from August 29th, putting it on the market at a time when the majority of the major network providers will finally start offering 4G connectivity, which it thankfully supports.
The Lumia 625 is an affordable phone targeted at those who want an affordable pay monthly or pay as you go deal and should be sold for around 179 when it is released.
In spite of its low price, it comes with a 4.7 inch screen, which makes it even bigger than its high-end stable mates like the Lumia 925.
A range of colours are available and owners will even be able to swap the external shell so that they can get different designs if they wish.
It is obviously aimed at youngsters and could be an appealing alternative to Nokia's other low-cost options, like the Lumia 520.
Although its screen may only have an 800x480 resolution, which will make it look a little less clear than its high-def counterparts, it is tough to get more for your money at this price point.
One of the benefits of buying one of Nokia's cheap Lumia phones is that they offer a comparable user experience to high end equivalents, thanks to the consistency of the Windows Phone 8 operating system.
As well as hundreds of thousands of apps to download, this platform benefits from an intuitive user interface and excellent social networking integration.
With 4G price plans looking pretty expensive, it may be sensible to buy the Lumia 625 outright and then pair it with a SIM only deal if you are desperate to experience superfast mobile connectivity. EE is being joined by Vodafone and O2 in offering 4G coverage, so now is a good time to invest in a compatible device.
