Refurbished mobiles sold online by Envirofone

Mobile recycling company, Envirofone, is launching its very own e-commerce site which will let people in the UK purchase used devices which have been refurbished for resale.
Smartphones will not be the only devices on offer, with the company also planning to sell tables and other types of electronics.
When you sell your mobile phone to a company like Envirofone, it will either be resold or recycled, with the former being the most sustainable option available as long as the device is still functional.
The second hand products sold on the site will be offered in a condition that makes them almost indistinguishable from brand new devices, according to the company. More than 100 makes and models will be represented, including big names like Apple and Samsung.
This is not the first time that Envirofone has sold the devices it has purchased from customers online, although in the past, it has relied on third party auction site, eBay, to handle the transactions.
Now that it has its own e-commerce presence, it should be able to build a brand effectively. And while customers in the UK will be the first to benefit from this service, it could roll out further afield once it gathers momentum.
Spokesperson, Claes Svensson of Envirofone parent firm, Redeem, said that it was important to offer consumers a way to get their hands on quality used phones at a lower price point than new models, with the growing popularity of recycling making this a possibility.
Cutting edge models, including the iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S6, will be sold alongside more affordable alternatives. And in the past decade, Envirofone alone has paid out £158 million to consumers selling their old handsets, so now there is a fresh way for it to generate revenues.
