Rumours of incrementally updated iPhone 4S emerge

Apple may be building the next iPhone to only partially upgrade the popular mobile over the current fourth generation model, creating the iPhone 4S, rather than a product which is deserving of the iPhone 5 moniker.
In previous years the iPhone 3G was replaced by the 3GS, which brought with it a slightly faster processor and the ability to shoot video, with a few other minor changes distinguishing it from its precursor.
Now an industry expert quoted in Forbes Magazine has said that the next iPhone will carry the 4S suffix and will have a few hardware updates without being a completely revolutionary product.
Among the rumoured inclusions are a dual core processor from the family of chips currently used in the iPad 2 and a better camera, which separates out the flash from the unit containing the lens, potentially allowing for the whole phone to be thinner.
Analyst, Peter Misek, has stirred up rumours about the iPhone 4S, some of which are backed up by leaked images acquired by Apple.pro, which show the enhanced camera on the front and rear.
Long time iPhone users are hoping that Apple will take a big step and increase the size of the display for the next iPhone, increasing from the current 3.5 inch diagonal measurement which is becoming significantly titchy when compared with the 4.3 inch screens of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Sensation.
Of course the wishes of fans are not necessarily going to sway such a creative and driven firm as Apple and the success of the Retina Display might well allow the current 3.5 inch screen size to stick around for at least another year. Many observers will be more interested in whether the iOS software is going to be refreshed enough to compete with the ever improving Android menace.
